2. database connection steps:

1. open the local SQL Server Enterprise Manager

2. right-click the SQL Server Group and choose create SQL Server registration to enter the welcome to use the register SQL server Registration Wizard page.

3. click next and select SQL Server. in the available Server input box, enter the IP address or Server name of the database Server you want to connect.

4. click the Add button to add the server to the "added server" list box.

5. click next to enter the authentication mode.

6. select the SQL Server logon information assigned to me by the system administrator (SQL Server authentication)

7. click next to go to the "select connection options" page, use the "use my SQL Server account information to log on automatically" option, and enter your login name and password
