I. project progress plan

Everything should be done in advance. Careful and rigorous planning is very important to the success of the project. It has the following meanings to make a project progress plan:

  1. Planning is the basis for connecting groups
  • Top-down pressure
  • Improve team efficiency
  • Clarify responsibilities
  1. Planning is the promise of moving towards the goal
  • Determine the overall goal
  • Control the development process
  • Planning is the working compass
  1. Planning is a tool for communication
  • Work quantifiable
  • Obtain the Key Path
  • Rationally allocate resources
  • Clearly reflect product status information
  1. Plan is a guarantee of success
  • Standardized development activities
  • Basis for constraints and coordination
  • Issue warning and prevention
2. Project and Project
Server Introduction

Project role:

  • Generate a plan in the planning phase
  • Tracking progress, control accuracy, resources and budget during implementation
  • Generate Report

Project Server:

    • Project Management for teams and Enterprises
    • Unified resource coordination
    • Diverse tools to improve project member Communication
    • Work with desktop clients to form a complete project management tool
  • Project Manager: Schedule, tracking, and communication
  • Project Team: communicate with the Project Manager via email; PWA can view assigned tasks and update tasks
3. Create a project scheduler 3.1 project information
  1. Project-project information: Enter the project start date and schedule method.
  2. File-attribute, set the title in the abstract.
  3. Tool-Option-View: select the project summary task, and the title in the summary will appear as the project title.
Calendar 3.2

You can set the calendar of a project, such as daily working hours and weekly working days.
Click "Tools"> "options"> "calendar.
You can set the weekly start date, default start time, default End Time, and daily work hours.

3.3 project progress plan 3.3.1 Project Task

To develop and execute a project schedule, you need to test the project management experience and project management execution capabilities of the project management personnel, know which tasks need to be done in the project, and which tasks need to be split into one task.
There are three main methods to enter a project task in a project:

  1. Select a line in the main view of the project. You can directly enter the line in each column:

  1. Double-click a line in the main view of the project and enter it in the displayed task Information bar:

  1. Drag at the bottom of the project to enter the following information in the task details column:

Click the Insert key to quickly insert a task.

3.3.2 Task duration

After the project start date is set, you do not need to manually set the start date and end date of each specific task. You only need to set the project task schedule. It should be noted that manual setting of the start date and end date may conflict with the construction period, which is difficult to modify and cannot be automatically adjusted.
There are three types of project tasks: fixed unit, fixed period, and fixed working hours. The three types of tasks with multiple participants have different meanings. If multiple people participate in the work period, You must select a fixed period of time. If multiple people participate in the work period, You must select a fixed period of time. At this time, increasing manpower will lead to the reduction of the work period.
A project task is scheduled to have one working period of 8 hours by default. You can enter the required duration in the project task. 1D represents one day, 1 W represents one week, 1 mo represents January, and a question mark represents the estimated time.
One time period can also correspond to the working hours of other time periods. For example, if a developer needs to complete multiple tasks within a certain time period, a percentage is allocated to one task, at this time, you can set the working hours to automatically calculate the percentage of available personnel for this task.
As shown in, create a new task, set the 1-workday duration, and set the resource. The displayed work hours are 8 work hours (you can right-click the work hours column in the header column and Choose Insert columns to add ).

After the time is set to 7, because the current task type is set to a fixed unit, the construction period is automatically adjusted to 0.88, that is, the task can be completed by 0.88.

In this case, we need to set the task type to a fixed duration. After the set time is 7, the available percentage of resources is 88% automatically.

You can also set multiple resources for this task, as shown in the available percentage of resource allocation.

You can drag a task in the Gantt chart to set the task duration.

3.3.3 term and Date Constraints

You can set the deadline for a task in task Info-advanced.
You can set the task term, task restriction type, and date.
For example, you can set this task to be completed no later than one day, and not earlier than one day.
If both the task term and the task restriction are set, the task restriction prevails.

3.3.4 task Resources

Project Task resources are divided into three types: work hours, materials, and costs. Currently, we only need to use the work hours, that is, human resources.
When you only use a Desktop client, you can enter Resources in the resource work table or in the resource bar of the task. Multiple resources are separated by commas. Combined with project
For more information about how to use server, see Project Server.
You can view the usage of the current project resources in view-resource usage.

3.3.5 task level

You can set multiple subtasks for a task, such as website background development, website foreground development, and client development. website background development can also include interface development and database development, as shown in:

You can set the task level in multiple ways.

  • Right-click to upgrade or downgrade;
  • Click the upgrade or downgrade icon on the toolbar;
  • Move the cursor to the left of a task and drag the <-> arrow to the left or right of the task.

The duration of the parent task is automatically calculated by the subtask. No setup or input is required.

3.3.6 task relevance

There are four types of task relevance in the project:

  • Complete-start FS: build the foundation-build the house
  • Start-start SS: Lighting engineering-Audio Engineering
  • Completion-completion FF: project completion-Closing Ceremony
  • Start-complete SF

The most commonly used is the completion-start and start-start relationships.
You can enter the ID of a task in the front-end task in the main view. The project automatically sets the task to complete-start with the current task. You can adjust the task relevance type in the task Details View.
You can also drag the Gantt chart task icon to set the task relationship, and double-click the connection line to set the correlation type.
You can set the interval between tasks. For example, a task must start two days after another task is completed.

3.3.7 key paths

A key task is a task that has a direct impact on the end time of a project. It is a path composed of key tasks, that is, a key path. The project can be completed in advance by reducing the duration of a key task. As shown in:

In the figure, the red part is the key path, and the blue part is not the key path. Adjusting the construction period of the blue part does not affect the project completion time.
The Key Path settings are as follows: format-Gantt chart wizard-next-select the Key Path-next-finish-start to set the format.

3.3.8 milestones

A milestone is a node that has a special significance for the project and represents the completion of a stage of the project. For example, launch a project or complete project development.
If a task is set to 0, it automatically becomes a milestone.
If you need to set a milestone whose construction period is not 0, you can set it in the task information.

3.3.9 periodic tasks

Periodic tasks are used for scheduled tasks during a project, such as weekly project briefing.
Select the location where you want to insert a periodic task, and then select insert-periodic task.
Enter the Task Name, duration, repetition date, and repetition range, as shown in.

3.3.10 comparison benchmark

Comparison benchmarks are very important for project tracking and management. After we have developed a project progress plan, we need to save the current plan as a comparison benchmark. After the weekly project information is updated, you can get the comparison results between the actual weekly progress and the expected plan in the Gantt chart, so as to understand the progress of the project and manage and allocate it rationally.
You can set a benchmark as follows:
Tools-tracking-set the comparison benchmark and click OK. A total of 11 Comparison benchmarks can be saved.

3.4 others
  • When the task schedule is adjusted, the blue block displayed in the view indicates the affected task and content, so that you can understand the necessity of the change.
  • If you cannot determine the task schedule, you can use the PERT tool to automatically calculate and obtain the task schedule based on optimistic, pessimistic, and expected analysis.
  • Work breakdown structure WBS: There are two types of WBS code in the project, outline number and custom WBS code. The outline number is the simplest WBS encoding type. For example, the first task in the task list is numbered
    1. If a task has three subtasks, these subtasks are numbered 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3.
  • Investment ratio orientation: used only when multiple resources are involved in a task. If the task is cost-effective, the project maintains the total task working hours as the current value, regardless of the amount of resources allocated to the task. After a new resource is allocated, the remaining working hours are allocated to them. Assume that there is a task for drawing the structure diagram. The construction period is
Four weeks, which is the time required for a drawing worker to complete the task. Because this task is cost-effective, four drafters are assigned to this task.
Completed within weeks. In this case, you can click "yes" in the "investment ratio oriented" domain ". A week is scheduled for the customer to review the drawings later. Because no matter how many customers review the drawings, only one
Weekly, you can click "no" in the "investment ratio oriented" field ".
  • Task-driven factors: You can learn about the necessary tasks and resource limits that promote the start date of the selected task, which can be viewed by the Project-task-driven factors.
Iv. Tracking of the project progress plan 4.1 comparison benchmark and actual progress

After the comparison benchmark is set, when the schedule and progress of the project task are changed, you can intuitively understand the differences in the Gantt chart.
Configure a Gantt chart as follows:
Format-Gantt chart wizard-next-select comparison benchmark-next-finish-start to set the format. After setting, the gray part is the task prediction, and the blue part is the actual completion. You can see that the fourth task is completed by one day.

The project documents saved by the server can be automatically version controlled without the need to manually save multiple versions.
In the project
When you open a saved document on the server, you can see that there will be more server options in the word option, you can export the document, view version history and other operations.

Select the displayed dialog box to view version history:

In this way, after the document is edited and saved, the server automatically records the document version information without the need to manually save multiple backups.

6.10 leave

The working group members can ask the project manager and supervisor for leave by asking for leave. After the leave, the leave time will become non-work time.
For leave, go to "my work-my schedule" in the right navigation bar.
Select a time period and click "Click here to create" to enter my schedule.
The task and the corresponding time point are shown in the preceding table.
For sick leave or vacation, enter the vacation time in the specific date, such as 1D and 7 h, and then click Save and submit. Currently, the system automatically approves the leave request without approval from the project manager.
In the same way, for administrative work (similar management work), it can also be formulated by submitting a timetable. Is an example of asking for leave:

Then you can see the effect in the resource availability table:

As shown in, this resource is available for 8 hours on June 1, unavailable for testing tasks on June 1, unavailable for one day on June 1, and unavailable for Saturday on June 20, available for all days from January 1, September 21.
