Use the Insert key to select Word2010 Insert and overwrite mode

In the Word2010 document window, users can choose Insert and overwrite mode not only in the status bar of the Word Options dialog box, but also by using the INSERT key to toggle Insert and overwrite edit modes. To use the Insert key, you must enable the feature in the Word Options dialog box, as described in the following procedure:

Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, and click the file → options button, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1 Click the 2nd step of the Options button, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Advanced tab, select the Insert control overwrite mode check box in the Edit Options area, and click the OK button, as shown in Figure 2.
