Append () method: append the object to the existing list.
Syntax

The syntax of the append () method is as follows:

List. append (obj)

Parameters

  • Obj -- this is the object to be appended to the list.

Return Value

This method does not return any value, but updates the existing list.
Example

The following example shows how to use the append () method.

#! /Usr/bin/pythonaList = [123, 'xyz', 'zara ', 'abc']; aList. append (2014); print "Updated List:", aList;

When we run the above program, it will produce the following results:

Updated List: [123, 'xyz', 'zara ', 'abc', 2014]
