You can use the registry to modify the name of a Windows 7/Win8 hard disk partition. If you reload XP into Windows 7/Win8, the original hard disk partition name may fail to be changed, and renaming will not work. This is generally because the Format Fdisk in XP system is used to modify the partition. In this case, how can we rename a hard disk partition as the name we want? In this article, we will take disk C as an example, run regedit to go to www.2cto.com [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ DriveIcons]. If no DriveIcons exists, create "item (K)" and name it "DriveIcons ". Then, enter DriveIcons to create "item (K)", rename it "C", enter C to create "item (K)", and rename it "DefaultLabel ".

Go to DefaultLabel and change the string value to "Windows8.
