A composite pie chart is designed to handle a small percentage of the data. In the pie chart, only a very fine sector, the readability is not strong, so the main pie in a small proportion of data into a stacked bar chart separately listed comparison, more readable, better visual effect.
Example: Shanghai Hongkou District zhi of the concession in the "1865 Hongkou Concession Foreigner occupation Status list", after finishing as shown in table 1. Of these, there are 10 occupations, which have been sorted by number of people from highest to lowest, such as a separate pie chart, where small proportions of data occupy little or no comparative advantage. Then make a composite pie chart, the small proportion of data separate stacked bar chart, you can better explain the problem.
Table-1
In table 1, select the range of z56:z65 cells, insert-chart-pie-bar pie chart, and a description of the mouse over, as shown in Figure 1:
Figure-1
If you click the drop-down arrow in the lower-right corner of the chart menu, you can also pop up a similar menu, as shown in Figure 2:
Figure-2
When you are sure, you will see a general, unprocessed pie chart as shown in Figure 3:
Figure-3
Such a pie chart, to be processed, set the data series format in order to become a more accurate composite pie chart.
Right-click the pie chart and choose Set data series format in the pop-up right-click menu, as shown in Figure 4:
Figure-4
In the Set data series Format tab that pops up, click on the series split by Drop-down arrow in series Options. A Drop-down menu pops up, which appears in the menu: position, value, percent value, and custom four selections that can be separated from the main pie by a requirement, grouped by a stacked bar on the edge ( or a child pie chart). Since this table has been sorted from high to low, select the "position" option, as shown in Figure 5, such as selecting other self test:
Figure-5
Adjust the "Second plot contains the last" value as the appropriate number, this example selects 4. The meaning of these two items is to select the position in the last 4 items of data to form a second plot (click the up and down arrows to adjust the number size, in the adjustment process to watch the pie chart change). Resize the second plot size to change the size of the stacked bar chart, and adjust the spacing to change the distance between the size of the pie. "Pie chart Separation degree" is to adjust the extent of each sector from the pie chart, this example does not select separation (ie 0%), adjust all the data, close the Set data series Format tab. As shown in Figure 6:
Figure-6
Because the pie chart does not have data labels set, in order to explicitly represent the data labels for each sector, you also set the following settings, right-click the pie chart, and choose Select Data on the pop-up right-click menu: as shown in Figure 7:
