If you don't want to enter the system, but want to get some files, there is no need to make it so troublesome. Just take a Linux live CD and copy the file to the USB flash drive. Just like copying something with other systems.

How can this problem be solved?

Download the live. iso file of any Linux release (like Ubuntu) and burn a CD. Put it in the computer you want to enter and start from the CD. When the first menu appears, click "Try Ubuntu" to enter a desktop environment. From the Places menu in the menu bar, select a Windows drive and you will be able to access any NTFS partition.

Note: depending on the permissions of each file, you may need the root permission. If you encounter problems when browsing or copying some files, open the terminal (Application> attachment> terminal, it is speechless), enter gksudo nautilus, And the password is blank. In this way, the permission is available.

How to prevent it?

This method allows you to access the file system, but the biggest drawback is that those with ulterior motives still do not have the permission to encrypt the file, even if they use gksudo. Therefore, if you encrypt the file (or directly encrypt the entire system), there will be no problem.

Command Line: Reset Password with System Disk repair

If you need to crack the operating system, restoring the disk based on the Linux system is a good choice. You need to do some command line work, but it is okay to follow the instructions.

How can this problem be solved?

Download. download the iso file system Repair Disk and burn it to CD. start the computer from the CD and click the default option when the blue screen appears. after the system is loaded, you enter a command line interface and enter fdisk-l to view the hard disk partition. find the Windows partition (usually the largest NTFS partition) and remember its name, for example :. /dev/sda3.

Enter the following command:

Ntfs-3g/dev/sda3/mnt/windows-o force

Of course, you should replace/dev/sda3 in the command with the partition you just noted down. Then, run the cd command to enter the Windows/System32/config directory:

Cd/mnt/windows/Windows/System32/config

We need to modify the SAM file in this folder. Therefore, enter the following command to get the user list:

Chntpw-l SAM

Write down the username you want to enter and enter the following command: (replace Whitson Gordon in the command with the username you want to crack)

Chntpw-u "Whitson Gordon" SAM

Enter 1, select the first option, and press enter to confirm. This will clear the user password. When it asks if you want to write the hive file, enter y and press enter to confirm. Now we are done. Enter reboot to restart your computer and go to windows, so that you do not need to enter the password when entering that user.

How to prevent it?

The disadvantage of this method is that you cannot access the encrypted file. Changing the password will prevent you from accessing the encrypted file (what if the user encrypts the entire system ?), This method is useless. If only some files are encrypted, you can still obtain permissions for all unencrypted files.

Brute force cracking: UseOphcrackPassword cracking

The above two methods are useless when dealing with encrypted files. In this case, brute force cracking will allow you to obtain permissions for all files, because it is used to crack the password rather than bypass the password.

How can this problem be solved?

Maybe this method is not new, but let's review it again. All you need to do is download and burn an Ophcrack Live CD (use Vista if Windows 7 is cracked ). Start the computer with a CD (it may take some time ). Finally, you will enter a desktop environment and try to crack the password. It will take a while. Finally, if the password is found, it will be displayed at the top of the window (or not found, it will remind you ). You can restart your computer and use this password to log on to your account.

How to prevent it?

Although this method is used to deal with encryption systems, it still cannot crack all passwords. Using a complex password and a password with a length greater than 14 characters will enhance your system. The higher the password strength, the lower the probability of Ophcrack cracking.
