Use VirtualBox in Ubuntu to install MacOSXMavericks (10.9)
This article describes how to install Mac OS X Mavericks in Ubuntu. The details are as follows:
1) preparations before installation
Download Mac OS X Mavericks at http://pan.baidu.com/s/1hqebqyw.
The files to be downloaded include hackboot_mav.isomo-osxmavericks2.part1.rar unzip osxmavericks2.part2.rar unzip osxmavericks2.part3.rar. Decompress the package for backup. The extracted results are as follows:
Then you also need to download to the Virtualbox official website download: Virtualbox, Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.14-95030.vbox-extpack. Address: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
Find the corresponding release version in the linux system, and download and install the installation package with the corresponding system digits (32-bit or 64-bit. For example, download virtualbox-4.3_4.3.14-95030 ~ Ubuntu ~ Raring_amd64.deb package. Run the following command to install the SDK:
$ sudo dpkg -i virtualbox-4.3_4.3.14-95030~Ubuntu~raring_amd64.deb
Or directly click the installation package. ubuntu will use the software center for installation.
After the virtualbox is installed, you can right-click the Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.14-95030.vbox-extpack, choose Open With VirtualBox, then virtualbox will install on its own.
2) create a virtual computer in Virtualbox
Select next to go to the next step:
Continue to select next, as shown below:
Click create.
Click create.
Click next.
Click next.
Click create. Complete the creation process.
3) set System Configurations
In virtualbox settings, select System. As follows:
Remove the selected area marked in red. Remove the following:
Click Disaplay in and select. Perform the following settings:
Click the Storage option in. As follows:
Click the button in the red box and select Add CD/DVD Device, as shown below:
Click the choose disk button in. Select the HackBoot_Mav.iso file downloaded earlier. After the selection, the options are as follows:
Click OK to save the preceding settings. Then start the newly created Mac OS X Mavericks VM. Under the boot disk, the following page is displayed:
Choose CD/DVD Drive> Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file from the VM menu and select OSXMavericks2.iso.
Press F5 to refresh and the icon label changes to OS X Base System. Press enter to start System installation.
The startup process may be stopped here for one minute.
Select the installation language.
No valid hard disk is found at the beginning of system installation. Use the menu utility> disk tool to format the virtual hard disk.
Click "Erase" on the left, enter "Mavericks" for the Name, and click "Erase.
After formatting is complete, close the disk tool, click Mavericks disk, and click Install.
It takes more than 30 minutes to install the system.
After installing the system, you need to restart. Choose Close and Power Off to shut down the virtual machine.
