Use Windows XP Task plans

With the task plan, you can set the computer to run regularly or automatically run the task at the most convenient time. Program For example, if you can set the computer to automatically execute the disk fragment program at every Monday, the system will automatically execute the program at every Monday without starting the program.

8.6.1 create a task scheduler
perform the following operations to create a Task Scheduler:
(1) Click the start button, select the "control panel" command to open the "control panel" dialog box.
(2) double-click the "Task Plan" icon to open the "Task Plan" dialog box, as shown in Figure 8.19.
(3) double-click the "add Task Scheduler" icon. The "Task Scheduler wizard" dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 8.20.
(4) Click "Next, in the "application" list box in the "Task Plan" 2 dialog box that appears, select the application to be automatically executed by the computer, and click "Browse" to select other programs, as shown in Figure 8.21.
(5) After setting, click "Next" to open the "Task Plan" dialog box 3, as shown in Figure 8.22.
(6) in the "Task Name" text box in the dialog box, enter a name for the selected program and select the time when the task is executed. Click "Next" to open the "Task Plan" dialog box, as shown in Figure 8.23.
(7) In this dialog box, you can select the start time and date of the task running, and click "Next" to open the "Task Plan" dialog box, 8.24.
(8) In this dialog box, enter the user name and password, and click "Next" to open the "Task Plan" dialog box, as shown in 8.25.
(9) This dialog box displays the completion information of the scheduled task. Click "finish" to create a task plan.

8.6.2 modify the task plan
if you are not satisfied with the created task plan, you can modify it as follows:
(1) Click the start button and select the control panel command to open the control panel dialog box.
(2) double-click the "Task Plan" icon to open the "Task Plan" dialog box.
(3) Right-click the task plan to be modified and select the "properties" command in the shortcut menu to open the dialog box for the task plan, for example, right-click the disk fragment Program (1) Task Plan, open the disk fragment Program (1) Task Plan dialog box, and select the task tab, as shown in 8.26.
(4) on this tab, you can modify the program, running mode, and password of the task plan. After setting, click "Apply.
(5) Select the "Schedule" tab, as shown in Figure 8.27.
(6) on this tab, the execution time of the task is displayed. If you are not satisfied with the time, you can directly modify the time. After setting, click "Apply.
(7) Select the "Settings" tab, as shown in Figure 8.28.
(8) on this tab, you can set scheduled tasks, idle time, and power management. After setting, click "Apply.
(9) Click OK.

8.6.3 Delete A Task Plan
if you do not want to execute the task plan, delete it as follows:
(1) Click the start button and select the control panel command to open the control panel dialog box.
(2) double-click the "Task Plan" icon to open the "Task Plan" dialog box.
(3) Right-click the task plan to be deleted and select the DELETE command from the shortcut menu. The confirm program deletion dialog box is displayed, click "yes" to delete the task plan.
