Do anyone who uses WinRAR to compress various files know that WinRAR can be used as an encryption software in addition to compressing files, you only need to set a password when compressing the file to protect the data. However, because of this, the cracking software dedicated to WinRAR passwords is everywhere. The password length is no longer the biggest obstacle for today's cracking software. So, how can we make WinRAR encrypted files unbreakable?
We know that the current cracking software always specifies an Encrypted File (target File) When cracking the Encrypted File Password, and then uses the exhaustive method to crack the password According to the dictionary. However, if we compress multiple files to be encrypted and then set different passwords for each file, the software will be helpless ...... If an important file needs to be encrypted and saved, we can do this:
1. compress it and set a password according to the conventional method;
2. Prepare another file (of course, this file is a little smaller, because we just use it to confuse and crack the software );
3. Open the compressed encrypted file in step 1 in the WinRAR work window, and select the "add file to compressed package" menu in the "command" menu;
4. In the pop-up "select files to be added" dialog box, select the prepared "other files" and click "OK" to return to the "file name and Parameters" dialog box;
5. In the "advanced" tab, click "set password" to set a different password, and then start compressing it.
Now, the two passwords have been set. (If multiple files are added, you can set different passwords for each file. If you are worried that you will forget them, only two passwords can be set ). We can try to open the compressed file to see if there is an asterisk () in the upper right corner of each file name, but this asterisk is not equal to another asterisk, the corresponding password is required to open different files, and the correct password is not obtained when the software is cracked. However, if you forget your password ...... Therefore, when setting such a password, it is best to have a pattern that is easy to remember to follow. We can use third-party software, such as MyPassWord V3.10, to help remember the password.
This method is also applicable to files encrypted with WinZip.
