Use WINXP to create a boot disk for the NTFS or FAT partition

Summary

This step-by-step guide describes how to create a boot disk for Windows XP on an Intel processor-based computer to access a drive with an incorrect boot sequence.

Requirements

A blank floppy disk.

Windows xp cd or a running Windows XP-based computer.

Use a Windows XP-based computer to create a boot floppy disk

1. Format a floppy disk with Windows XP formatting tool. For example, put the floppy disk in a floppy disk drive, Type format A: at the command prompt, and press Enter.

If your computer is started from a SCSI hard drive, you may need to replace multi (0) with SCSI (0 ). Use a boot floppy disk to solve startup Problems

On a computer running Windows XP, you can use the Windows XP boot disk to start the operating system. The steps in this article can solve the following startup problems :? The Boot Sector is damaged.
