Use Word + Photoshop to create a scale ruler

Yesterday, I helped my wife get a medical scale. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to do it after nearly two hours of preparation for bed. Considering that only one of the tutorials found on the internet is made of firework, but in practical applications, it is convenient to print the layout, there is also the ease of searching for software (there may be more PS than firework, so my machine won't have firework). I think it will be more convenient to make it with word.

First, let's look at the last graph (some unit information is hidden ):

The first step is to set the measurement unit of word to mm. Tools-options-General

Then, design the general framework of the ruler based on the layout you need, as shown below:

Set the Scale length. For example, if I need a 15 cm scale, set the scale of the small box in to 150mm, and set the height to 5.5mm.

OK. The most difficult part is to make the scale.

Insert 3 rows and 50 columns in the Table in word, set the column to keep the column length, and select the reverse direction of the word page. Otherwise, the 50 grids are not displayed completely. Next, select merge cells for each five cells in the second row, and then select merge cells for each 10 cells in the third row. Then, select the second and third rows respectively to remove the black horizontal lines, the result is as follows:

Then, we chose to print and preview the image. I captured the image using snagit. You can also use the following to capture the image:

Next we open Photoshop, and first use Photoshop to adjust the above screenshot (using Photoshop to adjust the image size rather than the canvas size), set the width to 5 cm, and the height to 0.5, use PS to create a new file, with the width set to 18 cm and the height set to 0.5. copy and paste the adjusted scale to the new canvas and paste it three times, move the positions of the three pasted scales to make them aligned. Then, use the cropping tool to delete unnecessary spaces on both sides of the canvas. Then, adjust the size of the new canvas to 15 cm in width. The scale is almost the same, and then select the merge layer, then use the PS text and amplification tools to write numbers respectively (some people may say they should write numbers when drawing a table in word. In fact, I have tried to find that, that is too small ). It is best to export this image so that the most difficult scale part will be closed. Below is the picture I have finished:

Finally, we open the Word document, select the small box at the scale position, select fill, select fill with our image, and then set the border of the small black box to transparent, OK, A perfect ruler is complete.
