Users, allusers and siteusers

Spweb objects have three attributes related to user sets. The differences are listed below. To prevent Chinese meanings from being clearly expressed, the English explanations are also listed below.

 

Spweb. Users

This is for all users who have been directly granted permissions. When adding users, they do not specify a group and directly add permissions. These users do not belong to user groups of any site.

(This represents the collection of users or user objects who have been explicitly assigned permissions in the web site. This does not return users who have access through a group ).

 

Spweb. allusers

==================

Allusers = users + AD group.

The first part is the same as above. The second part is that the user has logged on to the site, but his permissions are obtained by adding permissions to an ad group on SharePoint.

(This gives us the collection of user objects who are either members of the site collection or who have at least navigated to the site as authenticated members of a domain group in the site ).

 

Spweb. siteusers

==================

Siteusers = allusers + SharePoint group = users + AD group + SharePoint Group

All available users in the site set, including hidden users added by WSS, and users granted permissions through SharePoint group.

(All the available users in the site collection, including some hidden users added by WSS. This is the collection of all users that belong to the site collection .)
