(3) In the connection options bar, you can set the port number of the FTP server and the maximum number of connected users, and the FTP server defaults to the "21" port, but you can change the port number to suit your needs, such as changing the port number to "678" in the Service port input box. Be sure to note that the port number you are using cannot conflict with other program port numbers in the system. Network bandwidth resources are limited, so it is recommended to limit the maximum number of user connections to the FTP server, and enter the appropriate values in the maximum number of users input box, such as "100", so that the FTP server supports up to 100 users at the same time. To prevent some malicious illegal users repeatedly try to log on to the server, check the "Limit try to login" option, set a reasonable number in the input box, you can limit their repeated logon times.

In the Miscellaneous column, the Use hidden password option is checked to effectively control the security of the server.

In the Universal Server Settings window, switch to the Blacklist List option page (Figure 3), the server has "accept" and "deny" access rules, there are two ways to set access rules, one is to use the IP address, one is using the host name. For example, the FTP server only accepts user logins on the IP address 192.168.0.2 site, and the host name of the user is RTJ, which is: Enter "192.168.0.2" in the "Add rule" input box below, and then click on the "Accept" button, in the "Access rule" The "(+) 192.168.0.2 (IP)" rule is displayed in the list box so that only the IP address is 192.168.0.2 site can access the FTP server, if the site and server are in the same LAN, you can also use the host name method, in the Add Rule input box, enter "RTJ" Then click the Accept button to display the (+) RTJ (Host name) rule in the Access Rule list box. The method of denying a site access is basically the same as above, and the difference is that when you enter an IP address or host name, click the "Deny" button.

For multiple sites to accept and deny logon FTP server features, through a number of access rules can be implemented. The deletion of the access rule is also simple, select the access rule, and then click the "Delete" button.
Tip: Be careful when adding access rules, when using reject rules and accepting rules, it is easy to cause management confusion, it is recommended that network administrators choose the appropriate rules according to their needs.
