Using Criteria for conditional queries

Source: Internet
Author: User

Guidelines are constraints that are used in queries or advanced filters to identify the specific records you want. Using guidelines enables fast data retrieval, allowing us to see only the data we want.

The following figure, for example, has a fleet transport detail table, and we use it as an example to explain using the guidelines in different ways.

A total of 425 records of each driver's transport are shown in this table.

1. Designation of a guideline

Create a query, drag the field you want to use the criteria to the design grid, and enter the expression in the criteria line.

In the Design view of the query above, the query results will limit the driver's name to "Zhang Beautiful".

This is the result of the query, only listed the driver for "Zhang beautiful" record.
