Using GParted to adjust the expansion of Linux partitions
when the hard disk uses Standardpartition, instead of LVM partitioning, it is very inconvenient for the subsequent expansion of hard disk space.
System environment: Centos 6.9 x64
This document environment is Centos 6.9, is the use of the standard partition Partitioning method, it can only be adjacent to the free partition near sda5 space to grow, for the former sda2 powerless.
Partition Structure Description (command lsblk view):
Sda1/root 500M
Sda2/opt 20G
Sda3 Swap 4G
SDA4 Extended Partition
sda5/40g
Operation Steps:
1, First in the centos6.9 , use the command CFDISK/DEV/SDA to create a partition of the free space,(Write) after saving reboot re-boot and enter the Centos system again.
2. Boot with gparted-live-0.28.1-1-amd64.iso disc or boot gparted-live from PXE.

8, after all operations, exit Gparted software, restart, into the CentOS system, using the command df-th found sda5 partition becomes larger.
