Ubuntu configuration

1. Installing OpenSSH Server

   Invoke command: sudo apt-get install Openssh-server

2. View server

   Confirm Sshserver is started: ps-e | grep ssh
   The presence of sshd can prove that Ssh-server has been activated. If it does not appear, you need to start the service/etc/init.d/ssh start.

3. Modifying the Ssh-server configuration file

   The configuration file is located in/etc/ssh/sshd_config, which can define the service port of SSH, the default port is 22, can be customized. Restart service required after definition Sudo/etc/init.d/ssh start However, in fact I cannot find the location of the configuration file.

4. So OpenSSH server basically is configured to end, we can start putty aspects of configuration.

Windows7 Putty Use

1. Putty Link Linux System configuration

   On the session page, enter the host name (or IP address) (N), port Select 22, Link type select: SSH
   
   Click Open to enter the Linux system

2. Transferring files using Putty

   Use Putty's PSCP to transfer local files to the Linux Server home folder
   PCSP d:\abc.zip [email protected]:/home, such as:
   

3. This allows us to transfer the files from Windows to the virtual machine's Linux server!
   

4. Installing unzip

   Install Command: Apt-get install unzip

5. Unzip the file

   Decompression command: Unzip xxx.zip unzip the zip file in the current directory.
