Ways to boot Win7/xp/ubuntu systems using GRLDR imposter NTLDR and Bootmgr:

Change the name of Bootmgr (NTLDR) to Bootmg8 (NTLD8)

Change the name of GRLDR to Bootmgr (NTLDR)

In the Grub's boot menu menu.lst:

Title Windows 7

Find--set-root/bootmg8

Chainloader/bootmg8

Boot

Title Windows XP

Find--set-root/ntld8

Chainloader/ntld8

Boot

Install Ubuntu without installing grub, boot with GRLDR, join in Menu.lst (fill in the actual installation partition, below is my example):

Title Ubuntu 10.04.4

Root (hd0,7)

Kernel/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda8

Initrd/initrd.img

Boot

In short, the GRLDR and menu.lst two files can be completed to boot Win7/xp/ubuntu Linux.

How, very simple!
