Using Photoshop Channel operation to pick up the seal

Operations recently, the unit implementation of online Office, the need to be the official seal scan sent to the Internet. But some official seal manuscript quality is not very good, after scanning has the date, the inscription and so on the text to cover in the seal above. Helpless under had to use weekdays to learn, with Photoshop will be extracted out of the official seal.

Use Photoshop to extract seals

In order to avoid unnecessary trouble, this example is used by the ancient seal (Figure 1).

1, open the image, we go to the Channel panel observation, in the red channel can see the seal and text black and white difference is the largest, then we use it, copy red channel (Figure 2),

Go to the "Red copy" channel, "ctrl+m" out of the curve, with a black and white straw click on the words and seals, in the "Red copy" channel to make the text become completely black, not once, a few more times, until the seal disappears (Figure 3).

Here to explain, if you extract is the official seal, in the red channel, may only see the date, inscribed, the curve can be more convenient.

2, back to the level of the board, copy the background layer, named "Go Word." Next, go to the channel panel, hold down CTRL, click the Red Copy Channel, pull up the selection, press "Ctrl+alt+i" to invert the selection, press "Ctrl+alt+d" to feather the selection 1 to 2 pixels, go back to the layers panel and select "Go to Word layer", press "Del" to delete the selection D "Remove the selection.

For ease of observation, we create a new layer under the "GO word" layer named "White background" and fill it with white. As you can see, the original part of the black word has been removed and turned white (Figure 4). Why do you want to delete the black Word section? I will explain in the following.
