The eclipse effect is not complicated, but in the early stage, we need to understand its level. It is roughly divided into three parts: the background and the radiation beam at the bottom, the glowing planet, and the halo and dark regions at the top. This is very simple to make.
Tutorial Final Results
1, create a new document, set the foreground color as: #500000, background color is black, then execute: Filter > Render > Cloud, get the effect shown in the following figure.
2, click the Quick Mask button below the toolbox to enter the quick mask, and then do from the top down red to transparent gradient, the following figure.
3. Press the letter key "Q" to exit the quick mask and get the selection as shown in the following figure.
