Using PS to make a simple smoke horse

Finished drawings.

The first step is to open the picture. Shortcut key anti-cui er +o or, top left corner file--Open

Step Two:

Click on the lower right corner channel (see Red Arrow), select the blue channel with the highest contrast between the horse and the background, and then copy one layer (see red arrow).

Step Three:

Anti-cui er +l, adjust the color level. The values are shown in the figure.

Fourth Step:

1, shortcut key L, select Lasso Tool (PS: Right click Tool, you can also choose the Lasso tool other options, other tools similar functions). After the lasso selection, feather, the value is 10. Shortcut keys Sheft +f6

2, (connected) shortcut key L, and then outline the picture below (see picture) Gray section. Then adjust the levels (anti-cui er +l). Numerical value See figure

Fifth Step:

After the fourth step is finished, use the white brush (shortcut key B), wipe the remaining gray parts. Then the anti-Cui son +m, turn the horse into a dark horse.

After adjusting, anti-cui son +i, reverse. Get as pictured.

Seventh Step:

1, hold the anti-Cui son, left click on the reverse of the blue channel after the copy, to get the constituency.

2, left-click Channel in the first color of the horse original image, and then return to the layer.

3, according to the anti-Cui son +j, copy. To get the diagram (truncated map, the layer inside the individual copied out of the layer is the effect of this step, painted the red line. )

Eighth Step:

1, choose a gray, the background to fill. is the horse layer with the name "background". Or create a new layer and fill it with gray.

2, a new group, and then pull out of the steed put in (left-click drag). Then the group is copied once, and the name group is 2. Then click on the small eyes on the left side of the layer to hide the group 1. (the option to create a new group is at the far right of the row in the Layer bar.) )

3, MA son too big, late bad p smoke. So choose the group of 2 horse, will be reduced, size to see you fit.

Nineth Step:

1, to Group 2 horse new mask. button as shown in the picture.

2, choose smoke brush (2 floors have links). The foreground color is black, make sure oneself chooses is a mask, then start oneself brush, give the horse to brush out a kind of hollow feeling.

The picture below is what I brushed before--let's see what it means. I felt bad at the time, and I used the backup group 1 to brush it again. This step is to see yourself play. No screenshots again.

Note: The horse's tail, hair, body, etc., with a soft eraser (reduce transparency), to wipe out the feeling of smoke.

Tenth step:

This step begins with a personal idea. Create a new layer, use the smoke brush that I provide, or you have a better brush. Paint your own horse with smoke, according to your feelings.
