Verification of eight data centers in 2015
2015 is a year of maturity in new technologies. The gradual commercialization of IoE, hybrid cloud, and big data technologies makes the data center more efficient.
At 2014, the market had a new development in the business budget, such as cloud platforms, big data, and other new technologies and advanced analysis methods, making the business market profitable.
So what will 2015 bring? The following are innovations in eight data centers.
1. Integrated System.Custom servers as needed. Today, with the increasingly detailed division of work in IT, traditional big unified server systems cannot meet the needs of all data centers, and some data centers may require high-density parallel operations, in this way, they need to expand a large number of GPU integrated operations, which is clearly not taken into account by traditional servers; some data centers mainly store data. What does this mean, data centers with special requirements for storage expansion can be freely used with servers that expand more storage, including Scalable NAS.
2. mesh network. The mesh network is the performance bottleneck between the existing east-west networks and the North-South networks we mentioned in the previous article. It is improved by adding an intermediate switching layer. Most enterprises still adopt a layered network because it allows users to access specific applications in a North-South network traffic mode. The flat network topology will improve East-West communication with North-South communication.
3. Storage of Flash Media. In the computing bottleneck of the data center, it is often not the CPU, memory or network speed, but the storage. The storage performance improvement is very obvious, the most obvious is the use of Flash media storage, which includes SSD, SSHD, hybrid acceleration SAN and other technologies. The storage of FLASH Media is the future development trend. Although FLASH has its own shortcomings in terms of capacity and fault recovery compared with traditional disk storage, the technological progress is huge, soon FLASH storage will enter the data center on a large scale.
4. Hybrid Operation.Different jobs require different resources. The traditional x86 computing capability is narrow in the face of increasingly Scalable Data computing, and the CPU computing can no longer meet the needs of large-scale single parallel computing. Like Nvidia. AMD's graphics processing unit, GPU \ APU, or Java, will partially replace the computing work of the CPU architecture, such as parallel coding and transcoding, these are much more efficient than x86 CPU operations.
5. Hybrid Cloud technology.2015 is estimated to be a year of large-scale expansion of hybrid Cloud technology. The flexibility of hybrid Cloud technology can greatly increase the workload. With the popularization of virtualization and hybrid computing, the selectivity between hardware and software products of different manufacturers is getting bigger and bigger. Hybrid Cloud technology is what it needs and can be expanded in an inclusive manner. In the data center, how to expand the hybrid Cloud technology will be the focus of future development.
6. IOT (IOE ).With the rapid growth of data volume, household devices or any other devices are becoming more and more intelligent, even including air conditioners, washing machines and other devices. Iot will be an upgraded application of all these basic smart devices. It is crucial for intelligent buildings, Automated Workshops, advanced tracking and customer analysis.
The Internet of Things will collect massive data. This big data seems messy, but it is a basis for analysis of commercial big data. This is also a factor for the large-scale expansion of the Internet of Things.
7. Improved energy efficiency. From the perspective of green energy conservation, sustainable energy and improved energy conversion efficiency are the goals of every company.
Use as little energy as possible for the cooling method of modern data centers. In a non-high-density computing environment, server processors can consider using low-power processors from the perspective of performance ratio. These processors tend to reduce power consumption by 50% than normal processing of the same level of model, this will be of great help to the server's heat dissipation and performance improvement. Similarly, the energy consumption ratio should also be considered in the selection of power supplies and other components of the equipment.
8. align with the business.Better understanding of what business will ensure that the business is feasible and effective.
From a business perspective, identifying the maximum constraints and suggestions for projects and objectives is an important part of decision-making. As the world changes, business has become the core part of an enterprise.
