VI Editor Go backstage, then call to foreground (tip)

Source: Internet
Author: User

Scenario Description: When we edit the content, we probably need to add a very long path name to the currently edited file, but the current file is usually also very long, we have to close the VI, and then look at the detailed path, reopen VI, and then use the Jump method to the directory row just edited. This is very inconvenient, you may want to constantly check back and forth, how to be able to transfer VI to the background, through the console to view information, and then call to the foreground.

Solution: In vi/vim Command mode, press CTRL + Z and the following prompt appears:

VI grub.cfg

[1]+ Stopped VI grub.cfg

The vi grub.cfg process is then transferred to the foreground via the FG command.
