In oracle10g, the default archive path is $oracle_base/flash_recovery_area. For this path, Oracle has a qualification that only 2G of space is available to the archive log by default, and you can use the following two SQL statements to view its qualification:
1. Select * from V$recovery_file_dest;
2. Show parameter db_recovery_file_dest (this friendlier and more intuitive)
When the number of archived logs is greater than 2G, it is incorrect to report that there is no more room to accommodate more archived logs.
such as: "Ra-19809:limit exceeded for recovery files
Ora-19804:cannot Reclaim 10017792 bytes disk space from 2147483648 limit
Arc0:error 19809 Creating archive log file to '/u01/app/oracle/flash_recovery_area/orcl/archivelog/2007_04_30/o1_mf_1 _220_0_.arc ' "Then we can modify its default qualification, such as adding it to 5G or more, or you can reset the archive path to another path, there will be no such qualification.
Modify the qualifying statement as follows:
Alter system set DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE=5368709102 (here is 5G 5x1024x1024x1024=5g)
Alter system set db_recovery_file_dest_size=10737418240
