1. View Linux kernel version commands (two methods ):
1. cat/proc/version
[root@S-CentOS home]# cat /proc/version

2. uname-
[root@S-CentOS home]# uname -a

2. view the commands for Linux (3 methods ):
1. lsb_release-a to list all version information:
[root@S-CentOS ~]# lsb_release -a
LSB Version: :base-4.0-amd64:base-4.0-noarch:core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch:graphics-4.0-amd64:graphics-4.0-noarch:printing-4.0-amd64:printing-4.0-noarch

Codename: Final
This command applies to all Linux releases, including RedHat, SUSE, Debian... And other releases.
2. cat/etc/redhat-release. This method is only applicable to Linux systems in the Redhat system:
[root@S-CentOS home]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 6.5 (Final)
3. cat/etc/issue. This command is also applicable to all Linux distributions.
[root@S-CentOS home]# cat /etc/issue
CentOS release 6.5 (Final)
