If it is for the year-end award, you need to determine whether your payment and income can be consistent. Most of the time, working overtime does not mean you get more, which needs to be measured in many ways. In addition, most companies do not pay you for overtime. The value of working overtime in other aspects or fitness may be even better.
If it is for promotion, you should consider how to improve your skills for promotion, spend more time on learning and thinking, and help improve your work to a certain level, it is very difficult for you to repeat your work to make your level more advanced.
Now, I have basically participated a lot in the company's projects, and it is very difficult for me to do a project, and the company's projects are mechanical work, this kind of work is not suitable for my growth, but I can only do this thing if I suffer from the limitation of my position. For working overtime, I will set a time point for working overtime at the latest every day. Over this time, I will definitely not think about projects, but learn, read, or think about projects. If the efficiency is very high, but the work is still incomplete, it means that the workload is indeed very large, and I will try to extend the delivery, so I will sacrifice my year-end bonus and the possibility of promotion. Time is very precious. If you waste your time on something that you cannot gain, it is a pity. Thinking can make people progress, rather than thinking about a robot. Even if we work tirelessly, we will eventually be just a robot without intelligence.
For overtime work, it is worth adding only what can make you gain.
