  1. Start cmd, enter the VirtualBox installed directory: CD E:\Program Files\oracle\virtualbox
  2. Then enter VBoxManage.exe list HDDs and you can see

    D:\Program Files\oracle\virtualbox>vboxmanage.exe List HDDs
    Uuid:9d452280-ec60-4e38-b74c-f4298dce95c5
    Parent Uuid:base
    State:locked Write
    Type:normal (Base)
    Location:f:\virtualbox\ubuntu14_04.vdi
    Storage FORMAT:VDI
    capacity:150000 MBytes
    Encryption:disabled

    View the virtual system hard disk size to 15G

  3. And then enter

    D:\Program Files\oracle\virtualbox>vboxmanage.exe MODIFYHD 9d452280-ec60-4e38-b7
    4C-F4298DCE95C5--resize 250000

The hard disk size is changed to 25G
