I just switched to a laptop and chose Windows 7, which is now popular when installing the operating system. As I am not familiar with this system, I cannot find many things. I usually use VMWare for many things, and the original virtual systems are copied to the mobile hard drive. As a result, the VM installed on win7 cannot open the original virtual machine system, and an error message is displayed:
Check for missing files failed:
Insufficient permission to access file
Why? Ask for help on the Internet. There is little related content, that is, you don't have enough permissions. In addition, some people say they can copy the file to the hard disk or log on to the system as an administrator. I have tested the two methods and the results are all correct.
However, my habit is not to use the administrator user to log on to the system. The old habit of using the XP system is to create a user of my own. In addition, if I want to copy the virtual machine files to the hard disk, it is not very troublesome for me to switch to another machine. It turns out that it is much more convenient to use a mobile hard disk. I just picked it up and went away.
Since it is a permission issue, we should have a solution. Later, we tried to right-click the VM icon on the taskbar when running vmware workstation on the user we created, on the displayed page, right-click vmware workstation and select "Run as administrator. Haha.
Write the solution here, hoping to help those who have the same doubts.
