First, download the system image file
1. First download the system image, enter Kali official website, select download Kali Linux in downloads, as shown in.
2. Select the appropriate version according to the computer configuration, here I choose the 64-bit version, click HTTP Download image file.
Second, create a new virtual machine
1. Open VMware Workstation, create a new virtual machine, we use a custom configuration method.
2. Import the system image file.
3. Select the guest operating system and version.
4. Enter a name and installation location for the virtual machine.
5. Click Next until the following screen appears. Allocating memory to the virtual machine is recommended not to exceed the maximum recommended memory for the hint, where 2GB is allocated.
6. Continue to click Next and use the recommended option until disk capacity allocation occurs. Must be larger than the recommended allocation capacity! 4. Tick off enable Quick Start, click Save Changes and exit.

6. Change virtualization technology to enable
7. Save and exit, restart the virtual machine after reboot, reinstall Kali Linux operation.
8. Wait for the system to install. If you allocate insufficient disk space when you configure the virtual machine, you may get stuck at this time.
9. After a long wait, choose to install grub to the hard drive.

11. After restarting the virtual machine enter the system, enter the user name and password, the user name defaults to root
