Virtual machine Installation ubuntu18.04 and its SRS server construction

1. Install VMware, I'm using VMware12.

2. Download Ubuntu image (from Ubuntu 17.10 Desktop version no longer provides 32-bit installation image, Ubuntu Server version will no longer provide 32-bit from 18.04 LTS), official address: Https://www.ubuntu.com/download

2.1. Select Desktop or Server Edition.

2.2. Click Download to wait.

3. Preparing for Ubuntu18.04 installation in VMware

3.1. Open the virtual machine, file--new virtual machine, be sure to choose the custom (I installed a typical installation of a network can not), in addition to change the name of the virtual machine, file storage location, memory, CPU, the other "next".

3.2. Select the virtual machine you just created, click Edit virtual machine settings, hardware->cd/dvd-> use the ISO image file, select the downloaded Ubuntu image, OK.

3.3. Click the drop-down menu next to "Turn on this virtual machine" above and select "Enter firmware when power is turned on".

4. Installing Ubuntu18.04 in VMware

4.1. Select the language on the left, click the Install Ubuntu button

4.2. Keyboard default, continue

4.3. Select the type of system to install (normal or thin) other options are best checked, continue

4.4. Because we are using a virtual machine, so choose to clear the entire disk and install Ubuntu, now install, continue

4.5. Select the time zone and select Shanghai (no Beijing)

4.6. Sit down for a cup of tea and wait for the installation

5.SRS deployment (All operations are done in virtual machines, virtual machines need to be networked)

5.1. Download git, website address: Https://github.com.ossrs/srs

5.2. Install build dependent gcc $ sudo apt install gcc make python p7zip-full-y

5.3. Unzip the downloaded file and enter the trunk under the extracted directory.

5.4. Compiling SRS

$ CD srs-master/trunk/

$ sudo rm-rf./objs

$ Cflags= '-W './configure

$ Cflags= '-W ' make

5.5. Start the SRS server

$ scripts/run.sh

Insufficient prompt permission

$ sudo su ends after $ scripts/run.sh

Start success!!!
