Change the Tap key unit

By default, the vi/vim editor compares each Tap with eight spaces.

(1) temporary changes

After opening the file with vi, enter the following command:

: Set tabstop = 4

Command definition: change to four spaces.

(2) permanent changes

That is, to change the vi/vim configuration file.

Add the preceding command to the. vimrc file in the user directory. If this file is not available, you can create a new file and write it to: settabstop = 4. Exit and save.

In this case, the unit number of tab key spaces in vi is permanently modified.
