Set up Multicast Server
Step 1: RunProgramThen select "media-streaming ";
Step 2: click Add to select the file to be played (take the WMV file as an example) and click stream ";
Step 3: set three parameters for stream output: source, target, and option. The source has been specified just now. Click "Next ";
Step 4: Select "display locally", select "RTP/MPEG transport stream", and click "add ";
Step 5: if an IPv6 multicast server is created, enter the multicast address ff15: 1, specify the port number "5004", and click "Next" in the lower right corner ". To create an IPv4 multicast server, enter "239.1.1.1" in the address bar (239.0.0.0/8 is the address of the Local Management Group );
Step 6: Set TTL to 10. Click "stream" in the lower left corner to send the multicast video and play it locally (the video is slow to start and takes about half a minute );
Step 7: Use Wireshark to capture packets.
Set up multicast Client
Step 1: run the program and select "media-enable Network streaming ";
Step 2: Enter the URL (RTP: // @ [ff15: 1]: 5004) and click play to watch the multicast video. If it is an IPv4 multicast environment, enter RTP: // 239.1.1.1: 5004.
Note: Disable the PC firewall before testing to avoid affecting the sending and receiving of multicast packets.
