Unfortunately, the bios of VMware does not recognize the USB boot device, even if the USB device is connected.

The solution to this problem is to add the hard drive directly, the hard drive pointing to the physical hard disk, the USB setting.

Note: Under Ubuntu to set this feature requires the use of sudo vmware to run.

The following are the setup steps for Windows, and Ubuntu is broadly consistent:

Switch to the boot interface, expand hard drive, use "shift and +" to move hard drive (0:1) or IDE hard (PS) (usually the last item) to the first position, and then move the hard drive to the top;

Press F10 Save Modify restart virtual machine, go to the USB flash drive interface;
