VMware Data Recovery Backup Recovery vmwarevm
VMware Data Recovery is a vmwarevm backup tool that creates virtual machine backups without interrupting the use of virtual machines or the Data and services provided by virtual machines. Data Recovery manages existing backups and deletes them when these backups are out of date. It also supports deleting duplicates to delete redundant data.
1.1 System Requirements
Before installing VMware Data Recovery, ensure that the system and storage in the environment are available.
VMware Data Recovery requires vCenter Server and vSphere Client. Data Recovery cannot be used with similar VMware products (such as VirtualCenter Server.
1.2 install the client plug-in
You must install the client plug-in before managing VMware Data Recovery. You can install the VMware Data Recovery Program on the computer of the vSphere Client. Do not install VMware Data Recovery on the computer of the vCenter Server. Otherwise, the plug-in will not work properly. Before you can install the Data Recovery INS, you must have a vCenter Server running in your environment and a vSphere Client installed (which can be downloaded from any vCenter Server ). The Data Recovery ins use port 22024 to connect to the backup device. If there is a firewall between the Client and the backup device, you must first enable port 22044 to manage Data Recovery.

(2) After the installation is complete, close and use the vSphere Client to log on to the vCenter Server again. In the plug-in manager, you can see that "VMware Data Recovery" is enabled, as shown in figure 2.

1.3 install the backup device
The backup device must be installed so that Data rediscovery can complete the backup task. Use the vSphere Client to deploy the backup device.
(1) log on to the vCenter Server using the vSphere Client, and select "deploy OVF template" from the "file" menu, as shown in figure 3.

(2) On the "Source" Page, select "deploy from file" and click "Browse" to browse and select "VMwareDataRecovery" in the DataRecovery \ VMwareDataRecovery-ovf folder of the VMware Data Recovery installation disc. ovf file.
(3) In "name and location", set the Virtual Machine name for the OVF template. The default value is usually selected, as shown in figure 4.

(5) On the "Data Storage" Page, select data storage for storing VM files.
(6) After the deployment is complete, the "deployment successful" dialog box is displayed.
