File Description:

Nb_x64_5032_dsm_50-4528_xpenology_nl.rar boot system, for booting the Synology DSM system, has been made into a VMDK virtual machine disk

Start installation

1. Log in to vsphere client

New virtual machine, file-

Custom--"Take names like (NAS-DSM)", select Memory---Select virtual machine version 8-> client operating system (Ubuntu Linux 64-bit)

Cpu-> memory allocation memory size network (NIC Note Select adapter must be selected E1000)->SCSI controller (VMware quasi-virtual)

Select disk (Create new virtual disk), create disk (set capacity, etc.), complete the virtual machine NAS-DSM standby, advanced options

2. Upload Nb_x64_5032_dsm_50-4493_xpenology_nl.rar to ESXi data store

Decompression Nb_x64_5032_dsm_50-4528_xpenology_nl.rar

To the file nb_x64_5032_dsm_50-4528_xpenology_nl.vmdk, NB_X64_5032_DSM_50-4528_XPENOLOGY_NL-FLAT.VMDK

Locate the virtual machine NAS-DSM directory in ESXi configuration, storage

Upload the NB_X64_5032_DSM_50-4528_XPENOLOGY_NL.VMDK and NB_X64_5032_DSM_50-4528_XPENOLOGY_NL-FLAT.VMDK.

3. Edit Virtual Machine NAS-DSM

Disk File path (select uploaded file), add-on, hardware, and hard disk with existing virtual disks

4. Start the virtual machine NAS-DSM

Select Nanoboot (5.0.3.2) DSM 5.0-4528 Install/upgrade

Right-click Install, select dsm_ds3612xs_4528.pat-> Set password settings server name, set network IP

Upgrade to DSM 5.0-4528 Update 1

DSM 5.0-4528 is called a large version, and update 1 Update 2 is called a iteration.

Minor versions can be updated and restored directly in Control Panel
