Try to install the Debian system with a virtual machine, it is easy to install and uninstall, and can also be used in the case of Linux system installation problems to find a solution on the host, but also avoid the need to reset the partition to install the Linux system (dual system case).

On a 64-bit Windows host, the process for installing a Debian system using a VMware virtual machine is as follows:

    • Software Preparation:
    1. First, on the VMware website (https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_workstation_player/12_ 0) Download the current version of the VMware Player virtual machine (the latest version of the current time is 12.0), choose the VMware version of the player because the latter is a lite version, "perfectly formed", and for individual users is free, so it is a good choice ;
    2. Second, on the Debian website (https://www.debian.org), download the full installation image (of course, there are other versions available on the website (online, standard, etc.), here I have selected the current latest desktop version of the 64-bit 8.4. Version 0 (http:// cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/8.4.0/amd64/bt-dvd/), the list of pages can be seen in many files, we just download one of the system image seed on line, as I choose " Debian-8.4.0-amd64-dvd-1.iso.torrent ", and then use Thunder download can, the full installation version is relatively large, 3.71G;
    • Installation:
    1. Complete the installation of the virtual machine according to the VMware Player Setup wizard;
    2. Because I want to install the 64-bit version of the system in the virtual machine, so when you start to install Debian, you may be prompted to support the "Intel Vt-x" Warning, there is a lovely video on YouTube to introduce the Intel technology Intel®virtualization Technology (if you're curious what that is, you can go inside and see). So we have to restart Windows, according to the boot prompt into the BIOS, my HP host press ESC, enable the above technology;
    3. After rebooting, start installing the Debian system. To start the VMware virtual machine, the operation diagram is as follows:
Step 1 Create a virtual machine and load the Debian system image--next
Step 2 Set the name of the virtual machine, and the path, you can keep the default, I here in the D-disk set up a separate folder to store
Step 3 Set the size of the virtual hard disk, here I keep the default, of course you can set the--next as needed
Step 4 summarizes the virtual machine setup information, we can in "Customize Hardware" as needed, modify or set the hard disk size and memory, the network generally recommend the default NAT, so that the virtual machine to use the host network, set the completion point "Finish" to start the installation of Debian
Step 5 because I have a USB wireless card on the host, so I will prompt the above small window, "OK" can be. Next, we use the mouse to click on the virtual machine installation screen, you can choose the installation options through the keyboard control, here we may choose "Install" or "graphical install", the two are just the difference between the beauty of the interface, the rest of the function, here I choose "Install"
Step 6 According to the Debian System Installation Wizard, set the "language", "Time zone", "Keyboard Configuration" (generally "American English"), set up, the system will start to load the disc file, and automatically enter the settings "Hostname", to step 7
Step 7 Set "Hostname", according to their preferences to customize, here I stole the lazy will remain unchanged,--continue into the set up the network "Domain name", you can not set-continue to continue, access to set the Administrator password-user name and password, etc. These actions are set as per the installation prompts and go to step 8
Step 8 set time zone, continue to enter set hard disk partition "Partition disks", go to step 9
Step 9, which lists four ways of partitioning, we choose the first way "Guided-use entire disk"--Continue
Step 10 Select the entire virtual hard disk
Step 11 Here are also several partitioning methods, we choose the more commonly used second--continue
Step 12 confirm the partition settings, select "Finish ..." to complete the partition settings, the Debian system began to install, the next more than 10 minutes or so, the system began to install the basic system files, etc., related to the settings are default, after installation, automatic restart into the Debian system, Enter the user password to enter the system, see
