Overview

This tutorial covers the fundamentals of VMware Virtualization, enabling rapid first-time planning and implementation based on production environments, and for technicians who are initially exposed to VMware virtualization.

I. Description of the Environment

Server configuration:
Software version: Esxi6.5 U1, VCenter Server Appliance 6.5 u1
Service Network side name: Business
Business IP segment: 172.16.10.1/24
Manage Network side name: VMware Networks
Manage network IP segment: 172.16.100.1/24
VMotion IP segment: 172.16.100.1/24

Second, make U disk Startup disk

First of all, to prepare a 2G USB flash drive, make the startup disk software use UltraISO. Click "Start" in the menu bar, "write to hard disk image"

If the hard disk has data, please click "Format", if the blank USB stick, click "Write?"

Third, install ESXI6.5 U1

USB stick into the server, set boot from USB drive

Wait for the progress bar to finish reading

Press "Enter" to start configuring basic information

Read the license agreement and press "F11" to continue

Choose an ESXi installation location

Keyboard layout, default

Enter the root password

Press "F11" to start the installation


After installation Press "enter" to restart
