Background Description:
I installed a vmware11,vmware11 on a Windows 10 computer with a ubuntu16.04.3 server version that wanted to use VS to develop Linux services under Windows and then compile and run on Linux
(To know how easy it is to develop Linux programs after configuring vs. Linux headers, with VMware file sharing, coding and compiling simply can't be too sour)
Problem encountered:
After you use VMware to set up file sharing for Linux virtual machines, you can easily access files on windows in a Linux virtual machine, but you need to manually restart the virtual machine settings to set up shared folders after each restart of the virtual machine
Even if I set it always enabled in the shared Folder option, it's still not valid, every time I turn on the virtual machine I want to disable-OK-always enabled-OK, I can see the shared folder under my Linux users
Problem Troubleshooting:
After the troubleshooting, the VMware Virtual machine is responsible for file sharing is a module called Vmhgfs-fuse, because I just started the virtual machine Ps-e | grep Hgfs See no results,
After I reset the file share to take effect, I can see this module
Then the problem is obvious, set the boot up automatically when the Vmhgfs-fuse module can be
Perform vmhgfs-fuse-h to view its usage and know the following command
Vmhgfs-fuse. host://mnt/hgfs
You can load a shared directory.
Because I am not the root user, sudo vmhgfs-fuse. host://mnt/hgfs and then shared files are still not in effect, switching to the root user to see the effective, original current
The user does not have permission, even if sudo vmhgfs-fuse. host://mnt/hgfs execution succeeds, the current user still does not have permission to see. Final Solution:
Add a command in/ROOT/.BASHRC vmhgfs-fuse. host://mnt/hgfs
Every time the root user log on, you can access the shared files directly
