Note:

We recommend that you install the latest patches for the operating system, including domain control, to prevent system viruses and network impacts. The editor was often harassed by viruses and delays in the POC and implementation of the project. Most security problems can be solved by installing patches. In addition, if your computer has already installed IIS, uninstall it before installing Connection Server.

3) Operating System Requirements of PCoIP Security Gateway

Although Security Server can be installed on Windows Server 2003 physical machines or virtual machines, if you want to use the PCoIP Security Gateway component, the operating system must be 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2. By using the PCoIP Security Gateway component, the View Client using the PCoIP display protocol can use the Security Server outside the enterprise firewall instead of the VPN connection.

You can pair a Security Server running on a 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 host with a Connection Server instance running on Windows Server 2003 or 2003 R2. After pairing, the client can still use the PCoIP security gateway.

 

Note:

If the Server Load balancer program is applied between multiple Security servers, make sure that all Security servers use the same operating system.

4) virtualization software requirements for View Connection Server

View Connection Server can run properly only after VMware virtualization software is installed.

? To use vSphere, you must use one of the following supported versions:

· VSphere 4.0 Update 3 or later

· VSphere 4.1 Update 1 or later

· VSphere 5.0 or later

5) Prerequisites for accessing the View Manager Console

Step 1: Set View Connection Server as a fixed IP address and point to the correct DNS.

In this test, the IP address of View Connection Server is 192.168.1.202 \ DNS 192.168.1.201.

Step 2: add View Connection Server to the domain. The Connection Server for this test is view.vmware.com.

Step 3: log on to the Connection Server as the domain administrator after the domain is added. After the installation is complete, the system sets the domain administrator as the View administrator.

Step 4: Double-click "vmware-viewconnectionserver-5.0.0-481677.exe" to install the Connection Server. For a 64-bit operating system, select the correct Connection Server Installation Package.

Step 5: Click Next in the Connection Server Installation Wizard and accept the product license agreement to continue the installation.

Step 6: In "Destination Folder", determine the Connection Server installation location. The default value is "C: \ Program files \ VMware View \ Server \", if you need to modify it, use "Change" to modify it.

Step 7: Select "View Standard Server" in Installation Options and click "Next ".

Note:

View Standard Server: the first View Connection Server, which can be used to manage and maintain virtual desktops and Thinapp applications.

View Replica Server: Installs one or more existing View Connection servers to provide high availability and load balancing functions. After the copy is installed, the existing and newly installed View Connection Server instances are identical.

View Security Server: used for external network connections. You can use an IP address to connect to the internal virtual desktop of an enterprise through SSL.

View Transfer Server: provides data transmission between the local desktop and data center when performing check-in, check-out, and copy operations in local mode. If you use Local Mode, you must have a Transfer Server.

Step 8: accept the ADAM License Agreement

Step 9: complete the installation of View Connection Server through the wizard.
