1. Snapshots
A snapshot is a mirror image of a full system at a point in time on a virtual machine that can be recovered from a snapshot file inside a virtual machine to a previous node.
Take a snapshot:
To recover a snapshot:
2. Cloning
A clone is a copy of the entire state of the original virtual machine and is isolated from the original virtual machine, creating a completely independent virtual machine on the host or other machine by cloning the file.
3. Virtual Machine Disk Expansion
Disk expansion Note that there is no snapshot on the virtual machine, and the second is that the virtual machine must be off state.
Expansion operation:
After expanding the disk space in the virtual machine settings, the virtual machine cannot really use the extended space, and within the virtual machine, this partially expanded space is unallocated.
Use the GParted tool to allocate space.
GParted installation: [python] view plain copy sudo apt-get install gparted search Enter GParted open:
can easily adjust the size of the partition, note that the current partition only if there is unallocated space around it can be expanded, "swap space" can not be moved, on the virtual machine need to first delete "swap space."
