186. Questions about how to reset the Vcenter single sign-on (SSO) Administrator password (5.1)

For Windows version VCenter

187. vSphere client/web Client Open Console window very slow problem

Problem Description:
Since vsphere was upgraded to 5.1, it was found that using vsphere client to open a VM's console window was slow, often waiting for 10-20 seconds, and sometimes even 20-30 seconds. Using Web Client to open the console window is also the same. Sometimes it's a little better after restarting the VC and the client, and it's still the same after a while. Re-installed VC, the problem is still unresolved. Does not seem to be the problem of VC.
I later connected to host directly with vsphere client and found that the problem was still there. Originally Vsphere 5.0 did not have this problem. The preliminary judgment is the problem of the 5.1 system. After surfing the internet, we found that the cause of the problem is many, but to be sure, it is not a hardware performance problem (because the same hardware platform originally used 4.1, 5.0 did not have this problem). Some people are through the VC has a problem, not through the VC login without the problem.
Finishing up a variety of possible causes of the problem, can be summarized as follows:

1. Logging on with a domain user may cause the problem if you log on by using a local user
2. Log on using Windows credentials, which in some cases causes the problem
3. The problem may be caused by incomplete DNS settings
4. There is a problem with the CA certificate for SSL
5. VCs and computers running vsphere client are not able to surf the Internet, or Windows Update may be causing the problem

Workaround
Do not log on with Windows credentials, log on with a local user, and log on without a domain user.

1. The direct link between VC and LDAP server should use SSL by default, and if it is changed to normal HTTP, it may resolve the problem. For example, in Sgin on configuration: Change ldaps://ldapserver:3269 to ldap://ldapserver:389
2. Both VC and host need to set up DNS, and both forward and reverse lookups need to be set up. Set the DNS address of the host and the lookup domain.
3. Update the CA certificate, connect the client computer that needs to be running clients to the Internet, and turn on Windows Update to update the CA certificate.
