Vmwarevm cannot access the Internet and cannot start VMnet0.

The vmwarevm cannot access the Internet. Because the vmwarevm has been installed before, it was uninstalled and re-installed. Finally, the VM cannot access the Internet. At first, I thought it was the cause of the system, so I used the linux Command to check whether the NIC in the system was started, for example:/etc/init. d/network status: Check the startup status of the network publication and restart the NIC: service network restart. Set to modify the/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file. I even say I want to add it to this file on the Internet.

Check_link_dowm (){

Return 1;

}

But all my methods are useless. At last, I restarted my computer and restarted the VM. I found that the VM prompts that the VM Could not bridge the host's physical Nic. What does this mean? In other words, if I want to connect to the Internet through bridging, the host must provide a physical Nic. Therefore, this may be a problem with the virtual machine settings. However, I would like to popularize the knowledge of Virtual Machine networking before the problem arises:

There are two ways to connect virtual machines to the Internet: (you cannot access the Internet in other ways)

1. The main method of bridging is as follows:

(1) In the VM, find: Edit ---> VM network editor. You can enable it (note that you must disable the operating system of the virtual machine before setting it)

We can see that VMnet0 corresponds to the Bridge Mode, VMnet1 corresponds to the host mode, and VMnet8 corresponds to the NAT mode. You cannot access the Internet in host mode. Only the bridging and NAT modes allow Internet access.

Then, select the bridging network card that can be provided by the host to the virtual machine. If you can select bridge to Realtek PCIe ...... Click application.

(2) choose Virtual Machine> Settings> network adapter> Bridging Mode on the corresponding virtual machine.

(3) then start the virtual machine to access the Internet.

2. NAT Mode

(1) Step 1 is similar to the bridging method, except that the NAT option is selected. Set the subnet IP address and DHCP. As shown in:

(2) choose Virtual Machine> Settings> network adapter> Bridging Mode on the corresponding virtual machine.

(3) then start the virtual machine to access the Internet.

Okay. The main method for accessing the Internet is described. Let's talk about the problem that I encountered: VMnet0 cannot bridge the VM to the host's physical Nic, then I opened the virtual machine's network editor and found that I didn't have VMnet0. so I decided the problem was here. Therefore, how can I solve this problem by searching online. Sure enough. Soon I found a solution:

The main cause of this problem is that the network editor of the virtual machine needs to be reset after the virtual machine is uninstalled or the virtual machine is reinstalled. Then the problem is solved according to his method settings. The main steps are as follows:

1. First, remove VMnet1 and VMnet8 from the VM network editor.

2. Shut down the VM and restart the host computer.

3. Go to the VM network editor again and click Restore default settings in the lower right corner to restore the VM.

4. Follow the bridging and NAT methods described above to set up Internet access.

The problem is finally solved. Happy.
