Use web. config to configure the master to facilitate master modification. solution:

1. Configure the following content in web. config:

<Configuration>

<System. web>

<Pages masterPageFile = "~ /Stie. Master (which can be modified here) "/>

</System. web>

</Configuration>

Note: make sure that there is only one <pages> configuration item in the configuration file. Otherwise, an error will be prompted.

2. To add a new page number, select "Web form containing the master page" and delete the "MasterPageFile" item in <% @ page>.

NOTE: If "MasterPageFile" is not deleted, the master page set on this page will be used.
