Vs Microsoft IBM and Google release Cluster Computing Technology

IBM and Google released the Cluster Computing Technology jointly developed on Monday, which will provide remote computing capabilities to the data center.

In the future, data centers will be able to provide path and processing capabilities to students and researchers at school to help them write software code with massive data processing over the Internet.

The University of Washington in Seattle has begun studying this project, the project will be launched at Carnegie Mellon University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, and University of Maryland. IBM and Google will provide them with related hardware, software, and services.

"The main purpose of this project is to improve computer science students' knowledge of highly parallel computing to better handle recent large-scale distributed computing," said IBM ."

The main task of parallel computing is to allocate multiple data packets to multiple servers for processing at the same time. This process is then applied to tasks that remotely access servers over the Internet and is called cluster computing or Cloud computing ).

This method can be used to improve the processing efficiency of general tasks and better complete complex tasks that require high processing capabilities such as gene sequencing.

In addition to this university project, Google and IBM will also provide the public with project-related resources for free.

Currently, three university courses related to cluster computing have been approved by the Creative Commons license. The University of Washington will offer these three courses in partnership with Google. Google will also provide a series of video courses on Cluster Computing for free.

In addition, IBM will provide an open-source software platform named Hadoop and a cooperation site for the development of cluster computing technology.

Microsoft released the Cluster Computing Technology in July this year and said it will open Windows Live to developers.
