My host is a 32-bit XP2 system with 64-bit virtual machines .... Problem:

 

This kernel requires x86-64 cpu, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot-pleas use a kernel appropriate for your cpu:

 

Solution: the BIOS of the host, that is, the BIOS of our computer, works in 32-Bit mode by default. You need to enter the BIOS at startup and set CPU-> Virtualization Technology to enabled. Restart. Enter the system again.

You will see the cute Linux system under the virtual machine.
