This article is actually written to beginners. Target Audience: users who simply want to experience Linux.
Why Linux
Why not? Some people often feel uncomfortable using it without looking for a reason. Why? For me, Linux is more efficient, more comfortable, and more natural than Windows in my daily work. This was discovered after I used Linux for one year. The concept of Linux is more in line with my philosophy, but also slowly changed in the process of use. At the beginning, I just had a hard time playing, and I personally did not like Windows. This time, I have never thought of any reason.
What are the advantages of Windows? Of course, you must be familiar with Windows and Linux before you can realize it. Trial is only the first step, and the first step is often very dull. No brilliant 3D desktop flip, no so-called efficiency improvement... Don't expect you to experience a transition from Santana to Tesla. Remember that time will let you know and remember what I think.
Preparations
If you want to use Linux, whether it's just an early adopters or you have made up your mind to invest in Linux, the first skill you must master is: you have to make a boot disk, and enable the computer from the CD. Next, you can choose to use the boot disk to install the system.
It is easy to learn how to create a boot disk. Two steps are as follows: 1. Google "How to Create a system boot disk"; 2. Create several more boot disks. It is easier to start a computer from a CD. They will tell you how to start the computer by calling your computer's customer service or technical support "how can I start it from the CD.
Remember: you only need to make a boot disk, whether it is a USB flash disk or a CD. What is boot, sector, BIOS... Ignore them. You will have a chance to understand these things in the future. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it. You can write articles to guide new users.
Select release
Linux has a very strange concept called the release version. In fact, it is equivalent to the Coca-Cola, Sprite, fenda, and so on under the Coca-Cola Company... . As for how to choose, our predecessors always use "according to their preferences. It seems that some people like to drink cola, some like to drink Sprite, and so on. But for new users, there is no concept about the release, where do they like it?
If you do not know which one to choose, select Ubuntu. Don't worry about comments like "Ubuntu's Unity desktop is hard to use" and "GNOME 3 spam. After you have actually used CDE, GNOME 2, GNOME 3, KDE, LXDE, and XFCE, it's not too late.
Start trial
At this point, the preparations will be useful. Go to the Ubuntu official website and check whether the download is 32-bit or 64-bit based on the computer's own situation. Modern computers generally use the default 64-Bit mode. If you are not sure about it and are too lazy to confirm it, You can directly use the next 32-Bit mode.
After the download is complete, it is a dial. It is best to burn it into a CD. As for how to burn it to a USB flash drive, we can learn it later. If you have mastered this brutal capability, use your USB flash drive. Remember to take advantage of the previous anti-virus attack.
After the dial is complete, restart the computer and start from the disc. Select "Try Ubuntu Without Installing", select a Chinese language, and click "Next 」.
OK.
What has been missed?
Some people may think that my Cao is too simple. I just got ready to roll up my pants and haven't experienced the starting point. The result is over? I don't want to talk about Linux being "simple". I have to press a button for a half-day keyboard, just like in a science fiction. Isn't it mind?
Someone may ask, the article does not mention partition, mount, file format ...... Concepts mentioned in other tutorials. In fact, we just try a system, and there is no need to make that complicated.
Some people may think that this is the case. What should I do with my original system? Will it be overwritten? In fact, you just need to Try it out. As long as you firmly choose "Try Ubuntu Without Installing", it will not affect your system at all.
Some people may think that other tutorials are very detailed and illustrated. In fact, people always want to give as many details as possible to bring a greater sense of security. But in fact, this leads to too much redundant information, and the first impression is "I am really in trouble 」. Simple is beauul ul.
Remember: Ubuntu supports a wide range of hardware, as long as your machine hardware is not so strange, there is basically no problem. However, any operating system is not omnipotent. You have never expected to install Windows 7 on machines 286, have you? Then you should not expect Linux to be able to run happily on your computer. You must have the courage to face failures. Ubuntu has some special effects by default, but these effects may have high requirements on computers. Now that you can try it out, you can use the best computer. It will not get pregnant anyway.
You need to know that writing such articles is at great risk, because readers may misoperate due to lack of details, so any factors should be taken into consideration.
