Ways to use the Windows Recovery Console

A. Insert the Windows Server 2003 installation CD into your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer.

B. When the system prompts are displayed during text-mode Setup, press R to start the Recovery Console.

C. You can use the Recovery Console to perform the following actions:

(1) Access the drive on the computer.

(2) Enable or disable device drivers or services.

D. copy files from the Windows Server 2003 installation CD or copy files from other removable media.

For example, you can copy the required deleted files. Create a new boot sector and a new master boot record (MBR). You will need to do this if there are problems caused by an existing boot sector.
