If the iPhone is targeted at ordinary consumers, Windows Phone is targeted at administrators, Android is targeted at developers, and BlackBerry is targeted at information control, earlier versions of webOS 2.0 may have been prepared for players playing social media and Web 2.0. At webOS Development Conference, Palm announced the new application development framework Enyo, which will replace the original Mojo. Enyo is a Javascript development framework. Starting from webOS 2.0, Palm will further embrace web development technologies, including replacing Java service with Javascript service and better support for Html5 .)
Weboss 2.0
Origin of Enyo
Enyo is from the Aries project of Palm. Aries is a browser-based mobile app development environment released by Palm. During the development process, developers found that the Javascrpit development framework OpusJS of Ares has more advantages than Mojo, so they decided to apply it on their mobile phones. Because it is completely different from the Mojo framework, the new framework will replace Mojo. This new framework is based on OpusJS. It is named Enyo because it originated from Ares and can work closely with it.
Ares is the God of War in Greek mythology, and Enyo is his companion.
Advantages of Enyo
◆ Supports multiple models and different screen sizes
◆ Speed Up Program startup
◆ Object-oriented, with better event processing capabilities
◆ Modern modular design-easy to maintain and code reuse
◆ Good cooperation with Ares-built by the same team
◆ It can be developed based on a browser without a simulator
◆ Simplified code
◆ Hardware acceleration
Enyo will gradually replace Mojo next year, and developers can also get the Enyo SDK in the early 2011 S.
