Webpack Using environment variables

To eliminate differences between development and production builds webpack.config.js . You may need environment variables.

The standard way to use node. JS modules is to set environment variables when you run Webpack, and process.env to reference variables using node. js. NODE_ENVvariables are often considered as the standard of fact (see here).

Webpack.config.js

module.exports = {  plugins: [    new webpack.optimize.UglifyJsPlugin({+      compress: process.env.NODE_ENV === ‘production‘    })  ]};

Use cross-env packages to set (CROSS-PLATFORM-SET) environment variables across platforms:
