Using QQ on Ubuntu has always been a headache. Some netizens developed a pyWebQQ program to desktop webqq, which is quite comfortable in all aspects, unfortunately, the program has stopped development and maintenance.
Ubuntu special channel recently found that a good solution can be perfect for webqq desktop.
First install a software called fogger:
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: loneowais/fogger
Sudo apt-get update & sudo apt-get install fogger
After the installation is complete, you can choose "menu"> "Internet"> "Crate a new fog app" to create a web application:
You 'd better download a corresponding icon and click the icon on the left to use your custom icon. Enter the url and name, and click Create. After creation, the program you created will appear in the Internet menu.
The Ubuntu special channel conducted a simple test and found that it can be reminded after receiving the message,
At present, xfce and gnome desktop environments have been tested, and new message prompts can be performed, but unfortunately Chinese support is not good.
Fogger is developed in python, so you can solve this problem by modifying the program code. At least it is currently well-developed.
Since fogger creates an application through url, we can use other web applications for desktop talk, such as web fetion and youdao cloud notes. However, web applications with flash such as Douban station cannot be supported.
By the way, the fog app stores data ~ /. Local/share/fogapps directory.
